Shake Shack

February 3, 2013

If you’re in New York and craving some fast food, you should make a stop at one of the quintessential burger joints of the city, Shake Shack. The other day I opted for their Smoke Shack burger– including cheese, applewood smoked bacon and peppers. About to get a milkshake for dessert, once I laid eyes on the Mast Brothers chocolate bar made just for Shake Shack, I had to splurge and try out the latest from my favorite Brooklyn chocolatiers instead. It was well worth the $9 for the delicious dark chocolate blend with earthy notes of cranberry and cinnamon, and of course the adorable packaging and artwork certainly helped sway my decision.

A June BBQ

June 6, 2012

Summer is practically here which means so are the weekends spent grilling, swimming and soaking up the sun. This past weekend my friend’s parents were kind enough to host a fun little Sunday BBQ gathering. After stocking up on everything we could possibly carry from Tarry Market, salads, grilled pineapple, corn, burgers and salmon were prepped for the feast. Such a refreshing feeling to know this is just the start of the season, so better get the calendars out to start planning all the beach parties and backyard dinners– Labor Day will be here before you know it!

Cooke City

July 12, 2011

After spending a morning driving 11,000 ft above sea level through the winding roads of Beartooth Highway through Montana and Wyoming, we stopped for lunch in Cooke City. A tourist destination for those traveling to Yellowstone National Park, there’s nothing more than a few restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops, but it’s certainly full of character with a picture perfect backdrop.
